Pv  sindhu is  an Indian badminton player belong to the family of Telugu,   She is the first and youngest women player who won the silver medal at Rio Olympics in the year of 2016 she also the second indian badminton player to win medal after saina nehwal . Before that she bought many medals for our country for that she honoured with Rajiv Gandhi khel ratnam award and Arjuna award. She was also awarded Padma sri,  India’s fourth highest civilian award in 2016

Early life

Pusaral venkata ramana sindhu born on July 5^th 1995 in Hyderabad to PV Ramana and P Vijaya both her parents were national level volley ball players , Her father ramana was the member of the Indian volleyball team and also the bronze medallist in the year of 1986 Seoul Asian games. He  contributed his family for the sports sindhu s elder sister of Divya is also a national level handball player but she gave up sports profession and became a doctor later married to US based software engineer

Training

She was inspired by pulled Gopichand s win in England badminton championship in 2001 and interested in badminton , she started playing badminton at the age of six , from Indian railway institute of signal engineering and Tele communications in secunderabad under the mehboob ali,In 2004 she joined the team of pullela Gopi chand, that’s starts her growth she won the doubles titles of the servo all India championship and singles at Ambuja cement all India tournament

Carrer

2012 :  1. Won Asia youth under 19 championship beating Japanese player Nozimi Okuhara

             2. She lost Germany s Juliane schenk in the Indonesia open

              3. She participated in the syed modiIndia grand prix gold event in Lucknow she reached the final without losing single set  but defeated by Indonesian player Linda weni

2013 :  1.She won her first Grand prix gold title by defeating By Juan from Singapore

              2.To enter into the BWF champion ship sindhu defeated the defending champion 2 seeded Wang Yihan of China,  in 54 minutes to set up meeting with another Chinese player and became the India’s first Gold medallist in women’s singles at world championship 

            3. She won the Macau Grand prix gold by defeating the Canada’s Michelle Li

2014 : 1. Common wealth games she was defeated by the Michelle Li of Canada at semi finals

           2. Sindhu is the Indian to win back to back medals at tournament

2015 : 1.She reached to the final of a super series event and defeated by Li Xuerui

2016 : 1.Won malasiya masters Grand prix Gold women’s single she defeated Scotland player Kristy Gilmour

          2. Led the captain of the channel smashes team for the 2016 premier badminton league she supported and encouraged for semi finals by defeating the five groups but at final her team lost by Delhi cares

         3. She won silver medal at Rio Olympics 2016 women’s single event

Personal life

PV sindhu has been employed as the assistant sports manager in bharath petroleum following her silver medals and achievements she was promoted as the deputy sports manager and she was the brand ambassador of BRIDGE STONE INDIA
