Pv sindhu is
an Indian badminton player belong to the family of Telugu, She is the first and youngest women player who
won the silver medal at Rio Olympics in the year of 2016 she also the second indian
badminton player to win medal after saina nehwal . Before that she bought many
medals for our country for that she honoured with Rajiv Gandhi khel ratnam
award and Arjuna award. She was also awarded Padma sri, India’s fourth highest civilian award in 2016

Early life

venkata ramana sindhu born on July 5th 1995 in Hyderabad to PV
Ramana and P Vijaya both her parents were national level volley ball players ,
Her father ramana was the member of the Indian volleyball team and also the
bronze medallist in the year of 1986 Seoul Asian games. He contributed his family for the sports sindhu
s elder sister of Divya is also a national level handball player but she gave
up sports profession and became a doctor later married to US based software
engineer

Training
She
was inspired by pulled Gopichand s win in England badminton championship in
2001 and interested in badminton , she started playing badminton at the age of
six , from Indian railway institute of signal engineering and Tele
communications in secunderabad under the mehboob ali,In 2004 she joined the team
of pullela Gopi chand, that’s starts her growth she won the doubles titles of
the servo all India championship and singles at Ambuja cement all India
tournament

sindhu defeated the defending champion 2 seeded Wang Yihan of China, in 54 minutes to set up meeting with another
Chinese player and became the India’s first Gold medallist in women’s singles
at world championship
